Make your pledge by may 31!

Over the next two years, we plan to undertake significant renovations to key areas within out building to assist us in reaching more people and lead them into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, one step at a time. Will you join us?

Beginning in June 2024, we will be undertaking two years of renovations to our key spaces in and around our building to set up our ministries for success going forward. These projects have been prioritized and will be undertaken in that order, as funding comes available.

Our goal is to raise $150,000 over the next two (2) years. This, together with existing funds and grants will be used to complete these projects.

Project 1: Kids’ Ministry Space

Our kids’ ministry space has been exclusively located in the basement for the past several years. We want to move the space to the second floor, renovating the space to make it functional and welcoming while taking advantage of the large windows, climate-controlled spaces to create an exciting place for kids in our church to learn about Jesus.

The project would include dedicating the entire second floor space for kids’ and youth ministry, moving the existing uses (staff offices, meeting space) to the basement. A secondary component of the project will include renovations to the basement to create a comfortable work environment for staff and create flexible common areas that can be used for small groups and other group meetings.

Project 2: Outdoor Upgrades

For many years we have discussed replacing the entry doors at Bromley Road with new, wider, barrier-free doors. In recent years, these doors have also started to pose security concerns and become hard to open/close. As part of this project, we plan to complete this door replacement, replacing the four current doors with two, wider doors and sidelight and making them barrier-free through the installation of push-buttons and door operators.

The second piece of the outdoor project is to repair the crumbling sidewalks and stairs and includes:

  • Replacing the sidewalk from the street to Bromley Road with a barrier-free, sloped sidewalk entry;

  • Removing the existing pathway between Bromley Road and the parking lot stairs;

  • Replacing the parking lot stairs with concrete steps and a new pathway to make them safer and easier to navigate;

  • Replacing the pad for the storage shed on the south side of the building to limit frost heave;

  • Replacing the shed; and,

  • Replacing the Lauder Drive entry stairs to fix crumbling steps.

Together, these components will help make these well-travelled paths safer for our church and the community while also makign sure we are taking care of our church property.

Project 3: Kitchen Renovation

Our third project is a renovation of our church kitchen. This well-used space has been word down over the past 60 years and shows its age. The goal of the renovation will be to refresh the space and improve upon the layout and function, while also planning for the potential to further expand partnerships like our existing partnership with Lionhearts in new and exciting ways. The renovation would include replacement of all cabinets and counters, updates to appliances, and the creation of a clean and modern space to host functions and events.

How Can You Be Involved?

We’re am so glad you asked! Here are a couple of ways to be involved:

1. Pray
We’d ask that you be praying for us as we plan for these projects so that they might have the greatest impact on those who will use the updated spaces. Pray too for those who do not yet know Jesus, and who we desire to reach and disciple in these new and updated facilities.

2. Pledge
While you pray for this new opportunity, pray about how you could support it financially. This would be on top of what you have already committed to giving to Bromley. We know that for some of us, that won't be possible. But we know that for others of us, we may be in a place where we could take a step of faith and increase our giving by a certain amount each month.
